When should I choose PEEK instead of POM, Delrin, nylon or ABS?
Choose PEEK when temperature exposure, chemical resistance, mechanical strength, electrical insulation or documentation requirements justify the higher material cost. If the part mainly needs low friction, fit testing or general plastic performance, lower-cost materials may be more practical.
Can filled PEEK be machined?
Yes. Glass-filled, carbon-filled and bearing-grade PEEK can be reviewed for CNC machining. Filler content can increase tool wear and affect burr behavior, surface finish, edge quality and inspection strategy.
Can you machine PEEK bushings, spacers and sleeves?
