What Marine Materials We Supply?
Select materials according to corrosion exposure, mechanical load, weight and operating conditions.
Stainless Steel
304, 316, 316L, 17-4PH and other specified grades. Commonly used for valve bodies, shafts, fittings, flanges and deck hardware.
Aluminum
5052, 5083, 6061 and other specified alloys. Suitable for lightweight housings, panels, brackets, covers and equipment structures.
Titanium
Used for specialized components requiring high strength, low weight and corrosion resistance.
Bronze and Brass
Suitable for selected bushings, bearings, fittings, valve parts and wear components.
Engineering Plastics
POM, nylon, PEEK, PTFE, PPS, HDPE, PC and other specified plastics. Suitable for guides, bushings, insulators, covers and low-friction components.

Typical Marine Shaft Project
Part
Custom marine drive shaft
Material
316 stainless steel
Quantity
Prototype and low-volume batch
Process
CNC turning, keyway milling and precision inspection
Finish
Passivation
Project Challenge
The drive shaft required accurate bearing seats, coupling interfaces and keyway alignment while maintaining low runout across the full machined length.
Because the component would operate in a wet and corrosive environment, material selection and surface treatment were also critical.
Manufacturing Solution
- CNC turning produced the main shaft diameters and bearing seats
- Common datums maintained alignment between critical features
- CNC milling completed the keyway and connection features
- Controlled machining reduced distortion and vibration
- Passivation improved the corrosion resistance of the finished surface
Quality Control For Custom Marine Parts
Every project is reviewed and inspected from material verification to final shipment.
Design Review
We check the material, geometry, tolerances, finish and critical features before production.
First Article
An initial part can be inspected before the remaining batch is manufactured.
Process Inspection
Critical dimensions are checked during machining to identify deviations early.
Final Inspection
Completed parts are inspected for dimensions, surface finish and appearance before shipment.

Marine Parts FAQ
Can you manufacture one part?
Yes. Marine CNC machining is suitable for one-off replacement parts, functional prototypes and small production quantities.
Can you use a sample?
In some cases, we can evaluate production using an existing sample. The customer must have the legal right to reproduce the component.
What materials are available?
Available options include stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, bronze, brass and engineering plastics.
Final material selection depends on corrosion exposure, load, temperature and operating conditions.
What tolerances are possible?
Available tolerances depend on the material, geometry, feature size, part dimensions and inspection method.
Send your drawing so our engineers can evaluate the critical dimensions.
Can you provide reports?
Yes. Material certificates, CMM reports, dimensional reports and first-article reports are available when specified before production.
Can you meet marine standards?
Classification or third-party requirements must be identified during quotation.
We will review the required material traceability, testing, documentation and inspection before accepting the order.
How fast can you deliver?
Lead time depends on part complexity, material, quantity, finishing and inspection requirements.
A confirmed delivery schedule will be included in the quotation.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes. Baosheng can sign an NDA before you share confidential drawings or project information.
