Choose the Right Finish for Your Custom Parts
A good finish should make the part look right, work in its environment and still assemble correctly. Baosheng supports common finishes for metal and plastic parts, including anodizing, powder coating, painting, passivation, plating and blasting.

Common Surface Finishing Services
Each finish has different material limits, appearance results and part-preparation needs.

Anodizing
Protective aluminum finish for CNC housings, panels, brackets and heatsinks.

Clear Anodizing
Natural aluminum appearance with a clean protective anodized layer.

Black Anodizing
Black metallic finish for visible aluminum parts and product components.

Hard Anodizing
Thicker Type III hardcoat finish for wear surfaces and functional aluminum parts.

Powder Coating
Durable colored coating for sheet metal, steel, aluminum and die cast parts.

Painting
Color and gloss finish for metal and selected plastic components.

Passivation
Stainless steel treatment for free-iron removal and corrosion support.

Electropolishing
Stainless steel surface smoothing for Ra, cleanability and micro-burr reduction.

Zinc Plating
Economical corrosion protection for steel fasteners, brackets and hardware.

Nickel Plating
Bright or functional metal coating for appearance, contact areas and corrosion support.

Chrome Plating
Decorative or functional chrome finish for selected metal parts.

Sandblasting
Aggressive surface cleaning for rust, scale, old coating and coating preparation.

Bead Blasting
Fine matte or satin texture for cosmetic metal surfaces.
Common Surface Finishing Services
Each finish has different material limits, appearance results and part-preparation needs.
Aluminum
Anodizing, hardcoat anodizing, bead blasting, powder coating or painting.
Stainless steel
Passivation, electropolishing, bead blasting or sandblasting, depending on the surface goal.
Carbon steel
Zinc plating, powder coating, painting, nickel plating or chrome plating.
Die cast metal
Painting, powder coating, bead blasting, nickel plating or chrome plating after surface condition check.
Brass and copper
Nickel plating, chrome plating, polishing, painting or selected protective finishes.
Plastic and printed parts
Painting, sanding, smoothing or texture preparation for selected plastic materials.
Send a Simple Finish Request
No need for complicated specifications—just follow the steps below to submit your surface treatment request.
1. Part file
Anodizing, hardcoat anodizing, bead blasting, powder coating or painting.
2. Material
Part material and manufacturing route, such as CNC, sheet metal, casting or printing.
3. Finish target
Required finish, color, texture, gloss, sample photo or working environment.
4. Sensitive areas
Threads, holes, sealing faces, grounding pads, cosmetic faces and no-finish zones.
Surface Finishing FAQs
Which finish should I choose if I only know the part material?
Send the material and drawing first. For example, aluminum often starts with anodizing or coating; stainless steel often starts with passivation or electropolishing; carbon steel often needs plating, painting or powder coating.
Will the finish change dimensions?
Some finishes add thickness, while blasting or polishing can change the surface. Mark holes, threads, sealing faces and press-fit areas so we can check them before quoting.
Can you finish parts after CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication or die casting?
Yes. We can quote finishing together with custom part manufacturing, or discuss finishing for parts that are already designed.
