*Large-part capability depends on the required machining process, equipment allocation and project arrangement. Final feasibility must be confirmed after reviewing the part files.
Threads and Tapped Holes
Standard metric, UNC, UNF and other thread specifications can be produced according to the drawing. Thread depth and accessibility are reviewed based on diameter, tool reach and material.
Surface Roughness
As-machined surface finish depends on material, cutting parameters, tool condition and part geometry. Define any critical surface-roughness requirement clearly in the drawing.
Critical Dimensions
Identify critical dimensions, datum references and geometric tolerances in your 2D drawing. Our engineering and quality teams will confirm the machining and inspection approach before production.
Thin Walls and Deep Cavities
Thin walls, deep cavities and long-reach features may increase the risk of vibration, deformation and tool deflection. DFM recommendations may include increasing wall thickness, adding radii or adjusting feature depth.
Quality Control for CNC Machined Parts
Quality control begins with material and drawing review and continues through machining, finishing and final inspection.
Baosheng projects are produced through an ISO 9001:2015-certified manufacturing facility with documented inspection procedures for prototypes and production parts.
Inspection Documentation
Available documentation may include:
• Dimensional inspection reports
• First Article Inspection reports
• Material certificates
• Certificate of Conformance
• CMM reports
• Surface-treatment certificates
• Customer-specific inspection records
Material Verification
Material grades and customer specifications are checked before machining. Material certificates and traceability records are available when required by the project.
First Article Inspection
First Article Inspection can be arranged for production orders and critical components to verify key dimensions before the full batch proceeds.
In-Process Inspection
Operators and quality personnel check critical features during setup and production to identify dimensional deviation before it affects the full order.
Final Dimensional Inspection
Completed parts are inspected against approved drawings using appropriate measurement tools, gauges and coordinate measuring machines.
CNC Machining Materials and Surface Finishes
Select materials and finishes according to mechanical strength, weight, corrosion resistance, thermal performance, appearance and project budget.
Our engineers can review alternative materials when a design requires improved machinability, shorter lead time or lower manufacturing cost.

Selected CNC Machining Projects
The following projects demonstrate how complex geometry, demanding tolerances and low-volume production requirements can be addressed through process planning, custom fixturing and dimensional inspection.
5-Axis CNC Machining of Formula Racing Front Uprights
Industry: Automotive and Motorsports
Part: Front Uprights / Steering Knuckles
Material: Aluminum 7075-T6
Process: 5-Axis CNC Machining
Production Type: Low-Volume Manufacturing
Finish: As Machined
Critical Accuracy: ±0.01 mm
Lead Time: 10 Working Days
Manufacturing Challenge
The uprights contained multiple functional faces, precision bores and threaded mounting features that had to maintain accurate positional relationships.
Machining from a solid 7075-T6 billet also required significant material removal while controlling deformation in lightweight sections.

Production Approach
The parts were produced using 5-axis single-setup machining to reduce repeated repositioning. High-speed roughing, precision boring, rigid tapping and controlled finishing were applied to maintain feature relationships and surface quality.
Inspection
Critical dimensions and threads were verified using pin gauges, thread gauges, manual inspection and CMM measurement before delivery.
