1.Material Choice
Aluminum 5052 is the cost baseline. Stainless 316 adds 30–40% to material cost but doubles corrosion resistance. Carbon steel is cheapest by weight but needs surface treatment. We quote all materials at the same time — you pick what fits your budget.
2.Sheet Thickness
0.5mm to 6mm is standard lead time. Above 6mm or below 0.3mm adds setup time. We state cut limits upfront before you commit.

What is the minimum order quantity for sheet metal fabrication at Baosheng?
No minimum. We fabricate from 1 prototype piece through to 10,000+ production units through the same quality process. Unit pricing scales with quantity — your quote will show the per-piece cost at multiple quantities so you can plan ahead.
How fast can you fabricate and ship sheet metal parts from China?
Standard lead time is 3–5 working days from drawing approval to parts ready for shipment. Rush orders (1–2 days) are available for laser cutting and simple bending jobs. International shipping to Australia typically takes 5–8 business days via air freight.
What sheet metal tolerances can you achieve?
Standard fabrication tolerance is ±0.1mm for laser-cut features and ±0.5° for bend angles. Precision stamping achieves ±0.05mm on stamped features. We follow ISO 2768 unless your drawing specifies tighter requirements.
What file formats do you accept for sheet metal quotes?
DXF and DWG for flat patterns (preferred). STEP or IGES for 3D assembly context. PDF for reference drawings. If you only have a sketch or PDF, our engineers can build a flat pattern file for you.
Can you do welding and assembly, not just cutting and bending?
Yes. TIG, MIG and spot welding are available in-house. We also offer full sub-assembly — hardware insertion, PEM fasteners, riveting, and powder coating in the same production run. Reducing vendors reduces lead time and coordination cost.
Is there a difference between sourcing from Baosheng vs. a platform like RapidDirect or Xometry?

What surface finishes are available for sheet metal parts?

Yes. Material mill certificates are available on all orders. Dimensional inspection reports (including CMM data for tight-tolerance work) are available on request at no extra charge.
